Expectation

Well, it's really exactly the same as what I've expected for my results. Just checked online. Had to be grateful though. Few days ago I've predicted my results and counted my CGPA, and I guess I'd get 3.21. Guess what? It's really 3.21 for now.

My prediction:
ART (A-)
REL (A-)
PHY (B)
CAL (C)

The actual results:
ART (A-)
REL (A-)
PHY (B-)
CAL (C+)

And I still don't get it how come my physics got that bad. But it's ok now. Slight of relieve though. Humans are never satisfied, aren't we? Glad that I can go to class on Monday. Calculus III and here it goes again. All the promises of getting good grades and study hard are all over in my head again. Seems that I'm gonna apply my universities with this 3.21 results? But anyway, 2 more semester to go, 6 more subjects to go, and I'm gonna try my best to graduate with 3.33 and above, which is an average of B+ student. :)

Welcome home

How should I start? Actually there's too much to say but I'll TRY to cut is as short as possible. LOL. I've been at Hong Kong hibernating for the past 5 days. Everything was great there. The weather is good. Humid, wet, windy, 24'C was something like Genting but it was not as cold of course. I have not seen the sun for 5 days but I don't need that Vitamin D provided by the sun anyway.

Somehow I felt safer walking around there. There's always some policemen patrolling and walking to check things up. The people were obedient. No smoking means no smoking. They don't even cross the road when there's no car because the sign given by the traffic light was "no crossing". I did cross and didn't get knock down. LOL. From what I've observed, they walk in a faster pace and even when u slumber around and walk like there's still lots of time, they'll somehow just overtake you or even push you to walk faster. Living cost is high. But they still managed to get themselves branded handbags like LV, Gucci and etc. It's no doubt that they dress themselves nicely and look good always. Surprisingly, all the chicks and guys do look hot. HAHA. But one thing which I gotta criticise- they smoke too much.

Day 1
Nothing much happen. Reached at 2 something. Dad brought us to walk around the area we're staying -Tsim Sha Tsui. Check out the restaurants, food was in big portion, and expensive of course. Had an afternoon nap and woke up in the night just to find myself having dinner in the hotel room later on. Mum called dine in food, just because dad was tired and as well. LOL.

Day 2
Dad's friend brought us to walk around after our lunch. I didn't know Coke cost around HK$ 25. HAHA. Went to Avenue of Stars. Saw the handprints of celebrities, saw the scenery across the lake, the HSBC tower, took some pictures. Then went to shopping. I don't blame the food for being expensive, because things like clothing were actually quite cheap. I got myself a chelsea jersey for just RM135. Maybe for some people it sounds expensive, but you can try to check out the price here in Malaysia. And I need a size S. LOL. 5 hours of shopping was exhausted. Had our dinner later on and that was for the day.

Day 3
Got up early and took subway to Shenzhen. 30 minutes of journey. Dim sum for breakfast. We were stuffed with all these 12 different dim sum. It was cheap. Around Rm50+ and you can eat till you're almost dead. Nothing much in Shenzhen. Just some spitting and dog/cat crap on the floor. Decided to go back to Tsim Sha Tsui and began our so-called "Amazing Race". But before that, some funny thing happened. I FORGOT TO CLOSE THE DOOR OF THE TAXI AND WHEN IT TURNED TO THE LEFT, THE DOOR SWUNG ALL THE WAY OUT AND MY SISTER WAS LIKE, "AH! YOU SEE THE DOOR OPENED!"

LOL. I closed the door ASAP. Got back to Tsim Sha Tsui and our mission was to conquer the whole area and try to look for the 3 storey Adidas and the Esprit outlet that we were not managed to go to the day before. And we did! And we shopped like crazy again. Mission completed! Bought stuff, walked until very tired and late at night, then called dine in food again. 11 o'clock in the night can hardly get yourself any food out there.

Day 4
The day we've been waiting for. Took ferry to Central then up to The Peak. Went to wax museum! And EA Experience. I'm a big fan of EA. Got myself some cool accessories. Then nothing much and we went down and walked around Central. Got back hotel later on by train. Slept. Had dinner with sister. We walked in the rainy night and found some great food to eat. Went back and watched some shows on Discovery Channel. LOL.

Day 5
Welcome back to Malaysia. The hotness, the sun. Took a 1445 hour flight. 3 and a half hours later I'm home. Temperature was 29'C by evening. And for sure it'll risen the next day where I'm half naked and sweating. Oh Hong Kong, I miss you. Miss the fine weather that you've provided for me the past few days. LOL.

*kinda lazy to post the pictures.. will do it some other day.. LOL..

Happy Holiday

Let's take a real break. Just enrolled this morning. And you know what? I've decided to go Oklahoma Norman. Back to my first choice after these months. Wanted to take petroleum engineering at first but somehow changed my major and again, back to the same old OU. Sadly they don't have Men soccer team. But, they do have marching band! LOL. Can't wait to have a real look during a football match then.

Marching Band of OU, "Pride Of Oklahoma"

Well, the other 2 choices would be Ohio State University and MTU. Next semester i'm taking philosophy. Hope it's ok. At least a B+ that's what I'm aiming. Speaking about grades, results are coming next week on the 28th! And I've sort of know what I get for my REL200. Damn. Most probably got A- as I saw my lecturer and had a nice talk with him today. He didn't tell me the grades but just say that, "just let you know that no one got A."

Oh well . . .

It's still not end of the world yet. Nevermind. I'll work hard again next semester. I think there's a few sign that OU is the chosen one. My advisor is from Oklahoma State University. I once saw some people browsed on the OU website when I needed a sign. LOL. And my REL lecturer kind of recommended me for OU instead of OSU. LOL.

Anyway, will be leaving for a vacation with family! Will be back like 5 days later? Haha. Hope that the genting trip with my birdism gang would succeed since there's a little problem now.

To Fangkai, just get the job done and when I'm back on Sunday, hope I'll listen some good news from you instead of, "eh.. change plan d lah.. not going.." Then you all are so screwed. LOL

FA CUP

So there it goes for the weekend FA CUP matches of semi-finals. I did not even bother to pay attention to the Premier League as my supported team was fighting against one of their london arch rivals- Arsenal. Well, it was just how I wanted to be!

And yes indeed it was one hell of a week for the Chelsea supporters. Even if you're at Mars supporting Chelsea! First they knocked Liverpool out of Champions League and then gave Fabianski(Arsenal goalkeeper) 2 goals for his birthday, then again, Manchester United is knocked out from the FA CUP! lol.

Saturday match: Arsenal 1-2 Chelsea

Chelsea players celebrated after they were through to the final

Fabregas of Arsenal was flabbergasted!

grumpy face Wenger vs happy face Hiddink

Hero of the day: Didi Drogba!

Take that!
*******************************************************************************

And there it was, another match on Sunday between Manchester United and Everton. Winner will play against Chelsea. Of course, everyone on earth would like to see United lose! That's something common in the heart for Chelsea and Liverpool fans! United did not put out Ronaldo and without Ronaldo, they can't score "go".

Sunday match: Manchester United 0-0 Everton*
*Everton won on penalties 4-2

Everton players celebrated after Jagielka scored the winning goal

Ferdinand did not score and there it goes

Hero of the day: Tim Howard!

Very emo after he saved 2 penalties and he cried?

Weekend was fantastic. Something bothers me the most is the choices of universities? I've got myself a list. A new list now which consists of: Michigan Tech, OU, Wisconsin-Madison, Ohio State, and lastly, Minnesota Twin-Cities! :)

Will settle my enrollment by tomorrow! And I've decided to go to US on January! A big decision. Sigh. Having tough times of choosing universities though. A lot of efforts have to be put into. At least I have some of the better ones now to choose from. LOL

End of semester!

And its time to enjoy while you can! There's still a long way to go but once in awhile, you have to stop somewhere in the middle of the road and take a break. 2 weeks break is OK for me. Seems insufficient but I'll try to make it fullest and enjoyable! Bonding with family and friends!

Been thinking what subject to take. Maybe Philosophy, with Calculus3 and Physics2. Should enroll ASAP before all the seats are taken. Well, let's just forget about studies for a moment. How should I spend my holidays? At first I thought of playing some new games and watch tons of movies, sounded like a 宅男! "阳光宅男"- Sunshine boy! LOL

But then, vacation seems to take up 8 days of the 14 days. So, I'd be kinda tired of walking here and there! And sadly, no more gym for that one week. Oh my.. Fats increase and muscles will decrease for sure. LOL

Anyway, found some of the pictures taken with my phone! Quality isn't really good for a 3.2mp HTC phone but I think I gotta work out its setting. Hmm..

They found it!

Who got a bigger mouth? I think it's huiyin :)

Moody

Slept for whole afternoon and it just couldn't get better. How I wish that I could be more careful when I solved the equation. Yes, calculus final was indeed hard. But I knew I could have done it better. Regret for not checking that last question. No wonder the answer was weird. Thanks to my carelessness for forgetting to put a (-)ve sign into a very simple trigonometric equations and there it goes. How I wish I wasn't that blind. Same goes to another equation and here, I just gave away 15-20 marks. :(

Physics paper. Tomorrow. Sigh. No mood to study. It was like a lightning struck deep into the center of my heart, and my brain. Feel so dead. And you know what? This morning I just found out that my REL paper wasn't that good. Oh crap. Hory crap. Just 2 more papers to go! And I've got to decide what subjects to take for next semester.

Good Friday

What is Good Friday all about? Basically, it's a celebration of Jesus' crucifixion. Which in some ways, it means the death of Jesus Christ. To summarize a long story, Jesus died and rose again in the third day which is the Easter Sunday. Why is it so important for the Christians to celebrate the death of Jesus? Because He died and rose from the dead. And because he died for our sins so we're forgiven. The video below shows a short clip of what crucifixion means:

Of course, the woman is Mary, mother of Jesus. You can see how much she loved him and He had to died. He was born to die. He knew he was going to die, and asked God, if that's HIs will then let it be done. At the end of the clip, the tomb opened. Well, this clip was shown in my REL200 class few weeks ago and it was shown just now in my church!

Anyway, yes, I went to church and there was this Easter drama, "Beyond Tears". The story is about a boy who involved in an accident and has permanent brain damage, coma stage. His parents have to make a hard decision in giving him up (he signed up for organ donation without letting them know about it). So, his parents finally gave him up and others can be saved.

I went there pretty early and took some pictures! I'm always interested in photo-taking, hoping to get a DSLR on my hand. Instead, I got my LX3, which is a semi-pro camera, which is cheaper, and a good one I guess. Still learning to take some nice shots though. LOL.

Ticking

Every seconds the clock ticks, I feel that I have lesser and lesser time to study. But distractions are too great. Life would be easier if there's no computers? No wonder people back then have great memories.

SIGH.

I'm a bit lazy this semester. Could have done better. Now I just have to try my best. Hoping for 2As. And sometimes I think, wouldn't it be easier if we're not that Confucianism-ed? In terms of memorizing and more memorizing and more exams of getting good grades. For some people, life would be easy if they get more As. For others, as long as you're happy with how you're living your life right now, no matter what you get for exams, you'll still be happy. So, for me, let me be the one who stuck at the middle. 2As and 2Xs results? LOL.

I'm almost done with my ART studio exercise. Not 100% satisfy. Mr Bad told me, even some of the best artists did not satisfy with their works until they're dead and rolling in the grave. Here's my work: 95% done. :)

Executive status: Car and gadgets

In case you have no idea what on earth have I painted(my mum can't even see it), at the bottom there's a car, top right corner is a watch, and top left corner supposed to be a Windows mobile. It's overlapping with each other.

The procedure goes like this:
1) Paint the 1st layer (the lightest color in the center) throughout the whole painting.
2) Paint 2nd layer over the 1st layer in some of the triangles. (real colors of the objects)
3) and Paint color rays on top of the 1st layers. (I chose red and yellow)
4) Choose a frame and finish up the last and 3rd layer. The theme is precisionism and purism, something metallic and glassy. And the final work should look 3D and real. I think I did quite good. Because it looks good from a distance. LOL.

I have 2 more hours to finish up. Left some touch ups to do then I'm done. A- for ART105??

Ok. Let's put study aside for now. What about some of the daily life activities? For example, talking. Is talking too much counted as sociable? I talk much, we all do, but my social skill is still quite poor. And I'm going to US soon (actually 1/2-1 more year. LOL) , so I've got to learn to be more socialize! Which means, talk more! :D

But sometimes too sociable isn't that good. Is it? I don't know. But there's a point of why being so talkative, in terms of knowing more people. For me, having more friends and knowing more people, means I have different friends in different fields. Who knows you might need their help someday. I went to college cell group-Christians who meet up and have a gathering, every Friday, and guess what? I make 3 new friends with 3 different major. One who works for finance, another who's going for the career of a pilot, and another major in marketing which got scholarship for University of Missouri-Kansas city.

How did he get the scholarship which worth 12k USD per year? Besides getting good results, have to participate actively outside college. He's a state player, a coach, worked for Sunway, in marketing, a student committee, a church choir and etc. He's not more than 21 years old. So, he got accepted, with an entrance essay on "what do you think is the issue that the people is facing now and give solutions for it". Well, I shouldn't be thinking of scholarship. LOL.

Street Fighter

Oh yeah. I felt like a street fighter now! LOL. Spent the whole afternoon in the gym. Actually it was just 3 hours? Trying to lose some fats, my stomach is a bit out of shape. But somehow just managed to run on the treadmill for 20 minutes with the pace of 10 km/h for 2.99 km? Still find it hard to run for 30 minutes non-stop. And amazingly, I did 80 push ups. One shot 40 times, rested for few seconds then all over again. Dead tired.

Did some kick-boxing after that. 1 hour of hardcore training, for the purpose of self defense? LOL. I wasn't expecting boxing as part of my session though. Final exam is approaching. 10 more days. I don't know what to expect. Just like my physics quiz today, I don't know what to expect. All I did was just memorize some formulas and went for it. For the first time in my life, I scored full marks for Physics! LOL. Even though it's just 2% but I needed that 2% desperately.

And what's the not-so-good-thing of the day? Mr Bad lost some parts of my term paper. Damn. I've got to do it again. Oh well. Things to do for tonight? Finish up my calculus homework, get started with Physics chapter 12 and read a bit of REL200. Watch a dvd before going to bed would be the best way to end my day.

I'm 90% happy today. Cause I still feel that I'm useful in some ways. LOL.
