Closer

It's coming to an end. I could just use a hand to count how many days are left for my own enjoyment. For some, it's just pure boring. For some, it's just a same old routine of sleep, eat, and shit. But for some, it's awesome. Well, if people were to ask how's my holiday, I don't know what to answer. Maybe "great! and fun!" would be the closest to it?

Anyway, I've been quite busy this week. Busy with girlfriend and friends. An evenly distributed week between love life and friendship. I have time for both events. But sadly not much time for gaming. I have to spend my gaming time in late night til early morning before I went to bed. Been actively involving myself in The Sims 3 and Football Manager.

Alright. I have a good news for everyone who's reading this. But before that, let's go back to 2 days ago....

2 days ago, Wednesday dated 26/08/2009:
Celebrated Anniversary with girlfriend. Watched Aliens in the Attic. A very fun movie to watch. Better than UP. Yes fangkai, better than UP! hehehehe... Went to dragon-i for brunch brfore headed to the cinema. And got ourselves some sweet desert in Cinnabon. After tuition we went to LST@ taipan.
Bought myself a novel. "Superpowers". It's been awhile since I last read a novel. I just can't help myself of not growing up. But this novel sounds pretty cool. About a bunch of college kids who went to party and guess what? They woke up the next day just to find themselves having these superpowers.


I love to fantasize. Of being a superhero and save the world!

Woke up very early to meet up at INTI before heading to Melaka. One of the last ones to get result. Yea. I've been checking ecampus all time but yet, there's no sign of results posted. So, I myself being a little coward, asked Ryan to help me take the transcript. Wasn't expecting much on Calculus though. Getting anything above B- would be OK. Asked Ryan to say "Good" if it is B- above. Luckily, it's a Good. B. Fair enough. But one of the shockers was my Physics212. Getting A- for it. God Bless. Overall, it was satisfying, increasing my CGPA just that 0.02 but never mind I tell myself.

Ryan and YannHuoy drove all the way to Melaka, and half way on the high way something just went against our way. It rhymes I know. Thanks.


Boon called up Teng Quan and ask him to be the tour guide of the day. Well, everyone was just so against him. But he did bring us to some great place. What we did mostly were just eating and makaning and taking picturing! Went to places like Dataran Pahlawan and Jonker Street. Ended the night with Nyonya food at Makko. Got back home at 1130pm.


A tiring day but it did not stop me from playing game! Slept at 4am. LoL.

Today, Friday dated 28/08/2009:
Woke up. Headed to college for a brief meeting about the club. Everything is going smoothly. Got a call from my mum and this is the news that I'd like to share.

Yes. I'm officially a student of University of Oklahoma! I think I'm the first among my friends who got the letter along with I-20 and other materials. They got accepted through email notification but I got through air mail!

WooHoo.... I'm accepted. Got to go for some medical check up and immunization! My orientation day would be 13th January and first day of class would be 19th! So, I will be heading to Oklahoma latest by 6th January.

Film

Nothing much happened lately. Well, other than going for a blood test this morning, everything is fine. Still cough, need to drink more hot honey lemon. Please anyone make some for me. Thank you.

I'm gonna blog just a little about "film". For those that didn't know, few of us are currently getting a club to be formed. Still need a meeting with club advisor and hope everything will be fine. Schedule, proposal, name lists, events are all done, it's just down to a simple "approval" from the upper head.

And so, I decided to join the P1MFS competition. A short film competition of 3-5 minutes with theme "Malaysia". Still thinking of the idea. I hope you guys can gimme a hand and show me full support yea! Not aiming to win, because it's gonna be a tight competition of whole nationwide. So I'm gonna put in all effort and have a good experience! LoL.

Check this link out for nice short films by 15 local film makers with local artists and etc. For those that remember the guy Namewee who sang Negarakuku few years back, he's back in one of the videos(Potong Saga). And also, Chocolate by the late Yasmin Ahmad. And other cool videos which set to inspire all people to join this P1 Malaysia Film-making Showcase competition.

And my friend Garrick had successfully transfer to INTI. LoL. And we could all have our project to work on. All the best! And for those that wanted to participate, let me know ok? Because I do need some people to work on/with.

Susah

Teknologi masa kini memang banyak susah. I paling tak suka speed internet yang memang lambat. Macam kura kura itu. Ataupun macam snail. Download file pun lambat betul. Satu movie nak tunggu banyak masa, estimated time ialah beberapa hours. Kalau aku berada di US elok kali, satu jam pun finish movieku yang sedang didownloadkan.

Satu lagi emailku kena hack. Tak dapat log in tak ape. Tapi semua file penting dari uni-uni sent ke emailku. Cepatlah reply aku. Babi betul si Yahoo! Customer Care. Nak aku tunggu beberapa hari tak ape, tapi beri reply pun tak dapat dibantukan. Sudah 3 hari emailku kena hack. Bodoh betul aku ni. Tapi tak apa. Sudah notify OU tentang emailku. Dia orang akan change information ataupun update infoku.

Oh kawan-kawanku yang telah diaccepted oleh UNL. Pergi saje lah dengan no worries. Tapi you orang nak tunggu Drake sekali. Uni-uni yang lambat process memang nak student-student macam ku tunngu. Feeling itu memang tak best la. Aku memang tak suka feeling menunngu. Tunggu Yahoo! sama tunggu OU reply.

Aku tak dapat imagine kalau masa bapaku tak ade internet. ataupun windows dengan mac. Macam mana nak survive? Sekarang semua pun touch screen. iPhone, samsung, nokia, HTC dan LG. Kalau you tak touch you memang out betul. Sayang sekali tak ade touch computer. I tak dapat survive kalau tak ade internet, ataupun teknologi.

Sigh..

Minggu ke-2 ialah minggu quarantine untukku. Sebab aku dah sick dah tangok doctor dah makan ubat. Tapi RM30 yang sudah dibayar nampak much tak efficient betul. Cough masih serious macam H1N1. Pergi luar bersiar-siar pun nak pakai mask. Kalau aku cough, semua orang pun nampak nampak. Susah betul.

Aku dah bayar RM150 untuk serivce PC aku. Sekarang tiap tiap hari gaming. Baik betul la. Syok betul feelingku sebab tak payah susah pergi luar luar guna banyak lui. Walletku sudah empty. Jadi jangan call aku pergi sini sana.

Aku nak dating somemore. You orang call aku, aku pun tak free. Tinggal 1 minggu lagi. Really OMG. GG. Result pun out sudah. I tak dapat accept the fact and want to escape for awhile. Online memang tak keluar lagi, mesti pergi EO untuk dapat result you. Cal3 aku predict dapat C+ la. Sebab final hard betul. Jadi sekarang aku harapkan B+ untuk kedua-dua Phy2 dan Philo.

I might not be the smartest person in the class

but I think I've got the brain to make some good arguments. You may not agree with what I said, but, I think I've won it based on my coolness and the hidden intelligence of mine. For those that's wondering what happened, well, I had an argument with some stranger in Facebook. I think I won. LoL.

On 10th August, where Chelsea beat Manchester United in the Community Shield, a friend of mine (Paul Isaac) posted "CHELSEA! CHELSEA!" on his Facebook status. So, as a Chelsea fan, I commented and found some cool things to do. Since I'm having holiday, I got the time to fool around. People, let's take some time and witness one of the lifetime arguments that I've made. Many people commented but I will just take 4 of the main ones which consists of me, Paul, Tim, and Danny.

Tim: Death to Chelsea!! May they die in a plane crash!!!!!!!!!! It's just my way to exspress my anger and in a way I mean most of it!! But most of all I blame tht idiot ref! Again Death to Chelsea!!

Danny: lol.HAHA.

ME: My philosophy of football, When MU win, all the fans will say, "Chelsea loser." When MU lose, all the fans will say, "Die Chelsea, Chelsea cheat, etc." They just used to win and cant accept to fail. And referee is the person in charge. if to blame referee, Chelsea would have beaten Barcelona and lift UCL in front of ur face 3 months ago. :)

Danny: . . . so emotional. . . .

Tim: I think all non Man Utd Fans should just drop dead NOW! Go to Hell!!!!! Yes it is nice to let out the anger.....ahhhhhh.....I feel better! Now who has the better record? Thts rite.....so shut up. Again Death to Chelsea and Liverpool! Arsenal ok la....pitty them.

Well, sometimes I could be quite chldish. But it's fun to have an argument with a total stranger because no hard feelings there!

A quickie update of recent happenings

And so, one week has passed. Almost. And amazingly, this week has been fun I guess. There is never a time that I find my holidays such meaningful. Let's just say, at least it is different than how it used to be. I do not like to go out much. Not that I can't, but just the feeling is not there. Well, guess what? I've been going out everyday since the last day of my exams which was last Saturday. And I should stop going out after today. And YES, I'm broke. Officially. I should stay at home and watch movies or go to work out. It is tiring to go out everyday but luckily my system used to sleep for 6 hours per day already. LoL?

Monday, 10th August

An advanced birthday celebration for Carene. We went to RedBox and had a karaoke session for almost 5 hours. Chill around and dined @ TonyRomas. I ordered some grilled marniated chicken. I was full and it tasted good. Satisfying. And of course, TonyRomas is a classy place. So, for the price, it does make sense afterall.

A good time for practising some snapping skills. I had to bring my LX3 and experiment it. Was happy that I took some nice shots. I guess.

Tuesday, 11th August

Supposed to celebrate Boon's birthday. Due to some unavoidable issues, we have to let him go. He will be fun without having us celebrate with him. Because we know he will have a blast party. In the end, we were right. This bugger didn't sleep for that 24 hours of his day.

So, I decided to take a rest at home. And headed to gym for some hours. Watched 3 movies. FightClub, Hangover, and VanWilder: FreshmanYear. For movie-goers, it's a MUST to watch all the Top250 movies in IMDB. I've watched some. Now I'm just waiting for PulpFiction, ShawshankRedemption etc.

Wednesday, 12th August
Our initial plan was to have a guitar jamming session over Ryan's place. Woke up damn early for BakKutTeh at Klang. It was ok though. Not very nice, because the shop that Ryan wanted to bring us wasn't opened that day. Had some singing session and jamming session after that but the feeling wasn't there. Not as ON as that Saturday. Boon had to go back early and we called it off at 130.


Got home at noon. Rested. Sent Alvin off to US at KLIA in the evening. Got home. Tired.

Thursday, 13th August
One of the best day. This idea came up last week when I have this thought of shopping at KL. Garrick and Ben came along. Garrick drove all the way up there. For a first timer like him to make it back and forth without getting us lost in the city, it's counted very good for him, and for us.

I had in mind what to buy. A pair of jeans which I spotted earlier on. Ben went to search for a bag. Garrick had nothing much except for being a friendly driver where he did not let us pay the parking ticket nor the toll. Thanks man. LOL.

Went to Chili's at KLCC. My first time being there. The food was awesome. As compared to TGI Fridays, TonyRomas and Italiannies, Chili's rocks! The environment was slighty different than the ones I mentioned. It was more happening and crowded. Reminds me of Marlotte's bar in TrueBlood. Oh ya, it's Mexican food! So my friends keep making fun of me by getting me to pronounce terms like Fajitas/Jalapeno/Pena/Quesidellias and etc.

It was such a meaningful movie. And I encouraged Ryan to learn from Uncle Wayne. Because it doesn't really matter if there is only 1 person attends your funeral. You are dead after all. Following Uncle Wayne rocks. LoL.

Friday, 14th August

Arranged a futsal match for friends. Due to Fangkai's desperation, I had to make it on. LoL. Been texting many people for it and finally found some. p/s Fangkai you owe me a Coconut drink!

I am never good at sports. My dad once teased me, "why are you so into football? (saw me reading articles and playing football games) you are into football but you can't play football also."

Haha. True. I don't know why. But I do like to play futsal nowadays. Hope I can improve. Well, I guess I did. Apart from the skills and technique, I think I improve a little. Not much, but just a little.

Fangkai said I improve. Which means the last time I played with him, I actually looked like shit.
Boon said he likes my body technique but just have to put in mind not to overdo it. Sometimes it annoyed some people.

Garrick once told me, "If no one passes you the ball, go and get it yourself"

True enough. I had always put this in mind. Because I am not one of the good players on the pitch, I had to work my way hard.

After futsal, Garrick forced me to watch movie. We watch District 9. And my wallet is officially empty. Not a cent left. LoL.

Saturday, 15th August

Stayed at home. Had a good sleep til 12 noon. Watched Donnie Darko. Weird but it's nice. Girlfriend had tuition with sister at home. Never see her in 2 weeks. :/ Still as gorgeous as always. hahaha.

Had a nap again til 8pm. I went on to do research on what laptop to buy. Was considering whether style over specs. Read on some photography tips. A good way to learn is actually taking the camera out and try some shots. Trial and error do helps.

1st match of Premier League and Chelsea won it at home. Last minute goal by Didi Drogba to secure a 2-1 win over Hull City. Ah Drogba, my new idol!
